Escape the heat with one of these tasty summer cocktail recipes.
Peaches ’n’ Herb Cocktail
2 ounces Mezcal Vida; ¾ ounce Pacific Peach Honey or fresh peach puree; ¾ ounce fresh squeezed lime juice; 2 sage leaves, divided.
Pour Mezcal Vida, peach honey or puree and lime juice into a shaker tin. Muddle 1 sage leaf into the mix and shake vigorously with ice for 8 to 10 seconds. Strain into cocktail coupe and garnish with sage leaf, lightly toasted if desired.
Apple Cider Margarita Cocktail
½ stick cinnamon; 2 lemon wedges; 2 apple slices; Zest of 1 clementine; ¾ ounce honey water (mix 1 part honey to 1 part hot water); 2 ounces bourbon.
Muddle cinnamon, lemon, apple and clementine zest. Add honey water and bourbon, shake, strain into a double rocks glass with one large ice cube and serve.
Caprese Martini Cocktail
4 cherry tomatoes, halved; 1 teaspoon sugar; 2 sprigs fresh basil; 2½ ounces Crop Organic Tomato Vodka; Dash balsamic vinegar; Cherry tomatoes, whole, for garnish; Fresh mozzarella, cubed, for garnish.
Muddle halved tomatoes, sugar and basil. Add vodka and balsamic vinegar, and shake with ice. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a skewer of cherry tomatoes and mozzarella.
Fig Mojito Cocktail
2 dried figs; 3 lime wedges; 5 mint leaves; 1 ounce fig-infused rum (place 20 chopped dried figs in a 750 milliliter bottle of Bacardi and soak for 72 hours); ½ ounce Grand Marnier; ½ ounce vanilla extract; Splash of lime juice; Soda water.
Muddle figs, lime wedges and mint. Add rum, Grand Marnier, vanilla extract and lime juice. Top with soda water and serve.
