Scientists around the world have acknowledged the marvellous benefits of this drink and constantly recommend that this beverage is a ‘must’. There are many ways to do this, and one of the best is to prepare the golden milk yourselves. The secret lies in the spice above all spices- turmeric!
Turmeric is a spice with specific yellowish color which stimulates the digestive tract, has anti-inflammatory properties and helps reduce diabetes and memory loss symptoms. Also, this powerful spice can battle depression successfully.
The tastiest way to consume this spice is by mixing it with milk. To do that, you need to first create a paste and then combine it with milk.
- 4 tsp turmeric,
- ½ tsp black pepper,
- 120 ml water.
- 250ml milk,
- ½ tbsp oil,
- ¼ tbsp turmeric paste and a pinch of honey for taste.
Mix all paste ingredients in a pot and cook on low temperature. Stir constantly, then set aside and pour paste into a glass jar. Store jar in fridge to cool off.
When it is cooled, add milk and oil and cook on low temperature. Bring mix to boil but not actually boiling. Set mixture aside and add honey to taste.
It is best to have this drink on an empty stomach, in the mornings and before bed.
