People usually peel most fruits and vegetables, and then throw away the peel considering it for a by-product, but actually they throw away an abundance of nutritional and health benefits. Vitamins, fiber, and minerals are just some of the things that we do not use in our favor by doing this. So, do not throw away the fruit peels, use them!
The orange peel actually contains 4 times more fiber than a whole peeled juicy orange. The peel is also full of flavonoids that are known cancer fighters. D-limonene is another ingredient that the orange peel consists, and is proven to combat harmful UV rays and reduces the risk of skin cancer.

Fortunately, the outer green and hard peel of the watermelon does not contain nutrients, but the health benefits are found in between the white and the green part of the watermelon.
